With Easy Appointment Booking, you can take bookings on any page, not just a product page. This tutorial will show you how to take bookings on your homepage. You can see a live demo here.

Steps

  1. Create an event and link it to a product. If you have not done this, follow the steps in this tutorial. How do I start taking bookings?

  2. Once you have an event created, you can accept bookings for it on any page on your store, not just the product page. To do this, you will need to edit your Shopify Theme. Don’t worry, it’s easy and there’s no coding required. 🙂

  3. Go into your Theme Editor (From the sidebar > Online Store > Themes > Customize

  4. For this example, we will show the “Select a Time” button on the home page. If you are editing a different page, open that page in the Theme Editor using the navigator at the top of the page.

  5. On the left side, click the “Add section” button under “Template” and select Featured Product.

  6. Click on the newly created “Featured Product” section and choose a product. Here, you want to choose the product that you created an event for in Step 1. In our example, that product is called “Personal Consultation”.

  7. On the right side, you will see the “Add to Cart” button. Don’t worry, this will be replaced with the “Select a Time” button on your live site.

  8. Press “Save” on the top-right of the Theme Editor.

  9. Visit your page on your live site. You should now be able to take bookings in the newly created Featured Product section! 🎉
